For more than 180 years, First Baptist Church of Elkridge has stood as the oldest African American church in Howard County, a steadfast beacon of hope, healing, and spiritual transformation in our community. Generation after generation has found comfort, strength, and renewed purpose within these walls. We are a church rooted deeply in faith, built on the unchanging truth of God’s Word, and committed to loving people with the heart of Christ.
Our doors have always been open to the weary, the seeking, the joyful, and the broken — because we believe every person who walks through them is sent by God. We are a Bible‑centered, Christ‑focused ministry devoted to nurturing strong families, serving our neighbors with compassion, and sharing the love of Jesus in both word and action.
